ABOUT THE PROJECT
This story started in the year 2020 – at a difficult and at the same time crucial moment, when the world stopped and the usual learning suddenly changed its shape.
The pandemic closed the doors of schools, but opened new spaces – digital, not always convenient, often faceless. The same happened within the walls of the Dnipro Music School No. 6, named after Volodymyr Skuratovskyi: lessons in the specialty of solfeggio and musical literature moved to an online format, losing live emotion, warmth and inspiration.
But in such moments solutions are born.
The director of the school, Nataliya Ivanova, suggested to the young violin teacher, Maria Korytna, to find another way: to create something new, lively, interesting for solfeggio and musical literature classes. At first it was a search: digital instruments, mobile applications, interactive games. As time went on, however, it became clear that we needed more than just a supplement to learning. We needed to create visual materials that could preserve knowledge.
The first interactive presentations appeared. They came alive on screens during online lessons, arousing interest and enthusiasm, making music sound even through the screen. The main thing is that music theory classes became interesting, interactive and exciting.
Eventually, Maria began creating slides for her own lessons and sharing them with colleagues in other disciplines. One evening, she took a notebook and wrote an entire presentation book. It would become a living guide for young musicians.
And then the war began. The notebook sat in a drawer for two years. But real ideas never die. They just wait.
The support came from the Department of Humanitarian Policy of the city of Dnipro and Ksenia Sushko, who believed in the idea.
In 2025 the team of the Music School No. 6 together with Maria Korytna and partners won the competition House of Europe. Thus began a new chapter – already as a full-fledged project, as a platform that opens the door to the digital artistic dimension.
